The city of Cagliari stretches out over eight hills. The wonderful park of "Monte Urpino" with its splendid views over the surrounding area.
The "Colle di San Michele" hill dominates the so called Hinterland - area with its medieval castle on top. The "Tuvixeddu" hill (spoken: Tuvisheddu) is a Roman - Phoenician necropolis which is becoming a museum in the near future. Even the old town itself is build on a hill, "su Casteddu". From a gigantic terrace, the "Bastione San Remy", you are able to enjoy a view over the quarters of the city up to the sea, the "Sella del Diavolo" (the devils saddle), the mountain tops of the "Sette Fratelli" in the east and the "Monte Arcosu" in the west.
